California plans to add phthalic acid butyl benzyl ester 65 California carcinogens listing

California office of environmental health hazard assessment (OEHHA) has announced its plans to phthalic acid butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP, CAS no. 85-68-7) to join California 65 carcinogen in the listing.
BBP as plasticizers in PVC, adhesives and other products. OEHHA from carcinogens evaluation committee (CIC) published in 2011 list of priority chemicals selected the material.
OEHHA public solicitation BBP carcinogenic assessment of relevant information, including but not limited to: biological evaluation of cancer, cancer epidemiology research, genetic toxicity test, the other on drug metabolism pharmacokinetics, biomarker and effects on human physiological and biochemical process related data. Public consultation will end on January 22, 2013.
