The EMF assessment instructions

Now:  Home > News > The solution

Due to electromagnetic fields (electromagnetic fields, the EMF) on the human body can cause dizziness, vomiting, adult children suffering from leukemia, malignant brain tumour, loss of reproductive functions, such as cancer, serious harm to human health. Accordingly on the evaluation of electromagnetic field, the original products have strict assessment procedures for communication, also in the field of lighting, to protect the exposure of the human head and torso of the central nervous system tissue and reduce the effects on the person, also need to establish a evaluation reasonable method of space electromagnetic field around the lighting equipment. To this end, the European Union to EMF lighting products is put forward, on November 1, 2010, CEN issued related to lighting equipment of electromagnetic irradiation on human evaluation standard EN 62493:2010.

The standard lamps and lanterns is put forward the assessment requirements of electromagnetic radiation to human body, the need to be specified in the standard EMF assessment of lighting equipment includes:

, for the purpose of lighting, has the basic function of the production and distribution of light, and intends to connect to low voltage power supply or batteries that work on the network of all indoor and outdoor lighting equipment;

• general lighting equipment refers to all industrial, residential, public Spaces and street lighting equipment;

• lighting is one of the main functions of multi-function equipment;

, independent of lighting equipment used in the attachment.

Standard does not apply to:

Use of lighting equipment, aircraft and airports;

Road motor vehicles, lighting (with the exception of public transport passenger car lighting equipment);

• agricultural lighting equipment;

• ship lighting equipment;

, copy machine, projector and so on use of lighting equipment;

• in IEC standards or other CISPR standards specified in the radio frequency electromagnetic compatibility requirements within the scope of the appliances.

All of the built-in parts is not the standard of lighting equipment, such as: built-in electronic transformer, built-in electronic ballast, etc.

Standard applicable product range and EN 55015 / A2:2009 similar, product covers most of the lamps and lanterns, specific put forward four aspects of electromagnetic radiation limit requirements:

End, the power voltage (20 kHz to 30 MHz)

• radiation field magnetic field component (100 kHz to 30 MHz)

Radiation field, electric field component (30 MHz to 300 MHz)

Electric field induced current density, frequency range (20 kHz - 10 MHz)

The top three requirements have been completely be EN55015 / A2:2009, EN 55015 / A2:2009 for lamps and lanterns is mainly used in effect at the time of applying for the CE/EMC standards, one of the said at this stage if the manufacturer at the time of applying for the CE/EMC for EN 62493:2010 certification, will be able to significantly reduce test costs get more cost-effective products certification license. For the new electric field induced current density limit, EN 62493:2010 gives the testing methods and equipment requirements.

At present, the EN 62493:62493 has entered a transitional period. In OJ communique released on February 26, 2012 (OJ C 061 of 29/02/2012) will be EN 62493:2010 into the coordinate standard listing of LVD directive, the execution date of February 1, 2013. In order to reduce market risk, the manufacturer should be test evaluation as soon as possible.
